Peter qualified as a chartered accountant in the early 70’s and teamed up with Paul Caddick around 20 years ago when turnover was £3m, net assets £1m and there were 2 active companies! Throughout this period there has been sustained growth and value creation across the group and Peter’s financial position has involved many interesting and challenging situations where the overriding responsibility of control and cash management coupled with’ risk and return’ has sometimes had to take precedence over enthusiastically presented proposals.
With Paul Caddick’s hand firmly on the rudder the strategy going forward will be more of the same in a market place, which is becoming tougher and more competitive.
On a personal note Peter keeps himself fit, is available for his veterans rugby team (if required) and runs the occasional half marathon. Peter also enjoys gardening, being involved with his grandchildren and has been known to sink a pint or two at the local hostelry.
