Oakbridge Retirement Villages

A joint venture between Caddick Developments and HICA, a leading not for profit care provider. Hicalife Retirement Villages LLP (trading under the Oakbridge brand) has been created to develop and manage retirement schemes on a nationwide basis.

This represents a major step forward in the delivery of real alternatives for older people with housing and care needs, encompassing independent living and extra care concepts built around communal facilities specifically designed for the over 55's.

Our first scheme of 216 units at Buckshaw Village in Chorley was completed in Autumn 2007 and officially opened by the then Secretary of State for Health, Alan Johnson MP, in April 2009. We are currently working in partnership with a number of Social Care and Health Authorities for the provision of extra care facilities.

Each village addresses the growing demand for quality of life in old age. In responding to rising demographic pressures that the UK faces, we have brought together the combined experience and resource of leading companies in the fields of care, construction and finance.
